Rushcliffe lies immediately south of the City of Nottingham and the River Trent and extends towards Newark in the north east and Loughborough in the south west. Rushcliffe is proud to have a strong sporting heritage with Trent Bridge, The City Ground, Nottingham Rugby and Holme Pierrepont all calling the Borough home.
Rushcliffe has a thriving local economy and presents a significant opportunity for a prosperous and sustainable future, delivering benefits well beyond the Boroughs boundary. It is home to Ratcliffe on Soar Power Station one of the 3 sites included in East Midlands Freeport. The site is leading the way in clean energy innovation and advanced manufacturing, transforming from a coal-fired power station into a zero-carbon manufacturing and technology hub.
Other allocated sites in the Borough will support the delivery of 13,150 homes and over 70ha of commercial development. Underlining the Council’s commitment to supporting the sustainable growth of the Borough.
Rushcliffe is predominantly rural with some larger towns and villages, an integral part of our local communities and an attraction for residents and visitors alike.
At Rushcliffe, we're proud to be partnering with Team Nottingham at this year's UKREiiF event. This collaboration reflects our commitment to sustainable growth in the region to deliver more together for the benefit of our residents.
