One of Nottingham’s most prominent city centre hotels has been given a makeover in a £2.2m project.
The revamp at Jurys Inn Nottingham, based at the junction of London Road and Station Street, has transformed the 264-bedroom hotel’s public spaces with “warmer” colours and soft furnishings.
Guests can take snacks, drinks and travel items from the lobby, where there is also a new connectivity area.
New-look spacious bedrooms are equipped with a flatscreen Freeview TV, free high-speed Wi-Fi, spa toiletries and new beds with custom-made luxury coil spring mattress bases.
General manager Melissa Shan said the hotel had been renovated to meet the changing needs of locals and visitors as Nottingham seeks to bring in more tourists who stay overnight to boost its visitor economy – while the city also bids to be crowned a European Capital of Culture 2023 .
“The hotel and its facilities have been completely transformed in this major upgrade, and we are very excited to welcome the local community and visitors to the refurbished Jurys Inn Nottingham,” she added.
“Whether you’re here for a weekend away in the Peak District, a trip to motor racing at Donington Park or a business visitor, we’re confident you will find everything you need at our newly-designed hotel.”
The revamped restaurant features an expanded breakfast buffet, with a new contemporary dining menu for lunch and dinner including steaks and salads. The bar offers lighter snacks, cocktails and an all-day Costa Coffee bar.
For business travellers, the hotel has 10 meeting rooms, equipped with air conditioning, a projector and screen, and high-speed Wi-Fi, accommodating up to 100 delegates.
