MORE than £2bn of development across Nottingham will be on the menu at MIPIM, the world’s largest property expo.
Team Nottingham will be showcasing the city on the global stage at the event, with 30 different sites featured in the Nottingham Investment Opportunities portfolio – which is just one part of a suite of new collateral aimed at promoting the city and county to investors.
Nottingham is experiencing a once-in-a-generation period in its development – with the opportunities highlighted within the brochure as well as on the Nottingham development map which has been designed by Deetu. The city has numerous first-class projects in the pipeline, from large-scale mixed-use schemes to grade A office developments among those to be showcased at MIPIM.
Lorraine Baggs, head of investment at Invest in Nottingham, said: “This is a really pivotal time for Nottingham in terms of regeneration and development. Significant progress has already been made in delivering a new and improved Nottingham.
“The transformation of the Southern Gateway is picking up pace; plans for the redevelopment of intu Broadmarsh, the car park and nearby Nottingham College ‘City Hub’ are all progressing, with further developments planned nearby.
“We have really upped our game in terms of place marketing in the city and promoting inward investment and regeneration in the city and MIPIM is a great place showcase the significant opportunity there is in Nottingham. We are able to put Nottingham firmly on the map, getting in front of international investors and developers.
“MIPIM provides a golden opportunity for what will be Nottingham’s largest private sector delegation ever to showcase the opportunities and vision around what is the most significant transformation in the city for many years. The partnership between the public and private sector goes beyond our presence at MIPIM and there is genuine excitement and optimism about what’s coming next.”
Roythornes Solicitors is one of the businesses that will be supporting Team Nottingham for the first time 2018. Partner Shruti Trivedi said: “There are a lot of opportunities in Nottingham at the moment with development to the south and north of the city centre so it is a fantastic time to be involved with Team Nottingham.”
Also supporting Team Nottingham for the first time is Arup. Associate director, Neil Harrison added: “It is an exciting time for the city. We’ve been here for 30 years and we felt that there is so much going on in the city right now. Especially with HS2 arriving in Toton in the plans for the future and the visible future that we can see.”
Nottingham Investment Opportunities will be available online on the brand new Invest in Nottingham website as well as being showcased by the team in the Midlands UK Pavilion at MIPIM. The new Nottingham development map can be viewed online.
