Nottingham and Derby-based IT and Communications Provider Air-IT has announced two new appointments to its board of directors. 

Matt Storr has joined the company as Client Services Director, and Mark Taylor is now Finance Director. 


The appointments strengthen the existing senior leadership team, which is made up of Founder and CEO, Todd McQuilkin, Managing Director, James Healey, and Marketing Director, Paul Judge.


The duo will be key to driving the company strategy alongside members of the Air-IT leadership team including Chief Technology Officer, Sam Reed; Service Delivery Manager, Paige Smith; Business Manager, Amy Healey; and Marketing Manager, Laura Saxton.


With 30 years’ experience in the B2B technology sector, Matt Storr is heading up the Client Services department and will be closely involved in new business development, supporting and fuelling strategic growth plans. 


Matt said: “Having already identified areas where efficiencies can be improved, I look forward to working with the team to strengthen our service and to further establish Air-IT as the region’s number one Managed Service Provider (MSP).”


Mark Taylor, who initially joined the company in 2017 as Finance Manager, is a fully qualified Chartered Managed Accountant. Mark also has over 30 years’ experience, including 10 years in the telecoms sector, with previous roles ranging from Commercial Director to Account Management.


Mark said: “I was extremely proud to be invited to join the board and was readily pleased to accept the opportunity. The company has an incredibly bright future and I am very much looking forward to working with the leadership team to drive the business and our clients to the next level.”


The new appointments support the company’s ambitious growth plans, which forecast a double in the number of employees from 50 to 100 by 2022.  


James Healey, Managing Director at Air-IT, said: “Since relocating to our new offices located between Nottingham and Derby last year, we’ve seen a significant increase in demand for our services. With even more exciting plans ahead, we felt now was the right time to bring our new Directors on board. 


“Both Matt and Mark bring an impressive array of skills to the table and will be invaluable in our plans to strengthen new and existing client relations, accelerate financial growth and attract new clients in the East Midlands and beyond.”


Air-IT recently became the first MSP in the East Midlands to achieve a three-star ‘customer-led’ maturity level by the Service Desk Institute. The company is ranked as the top MSP in the East Midlands and as the 5th in the UK.
